If you’re a fan of the Harry Potter series, you no doubt know all about the Quidditch sport. Few developers have attempted to recreate the game, but it looks like Blue Isle Studios wants to be the latest. The team has recently announced their upcoming title Broomstick League which is coming to Steam Early Access on March 5th. With that, they’re celebrating by hosting a free open beta for the game this weekend. As long as you have a Steam account, you can download the beta and jump in on the action. The beta will begin on Friday, February 21st, and end the following Monday.
For those that haven’t heard of Broomstick League, it’s a competitive 3v3 game created out of the Quidditch sport. You and two others will face off against another team to score points with a magical ball. You’ll have to outmaneuver your opponents, have superior teamwork, and use your spells effectively if you want to score points for your team. This game is perfect for three friends and shares a lot of similarities to Rocket League, except you aren’t cars, of course.
If you want in on the “hot broom on broom action,” you can download the beta on Friday. If you want more information on the game, though, you can find that on the game’s official website. This isn’t all the news we have today, though. Devolver Digital, the publisher behind games like Enter the Gungeon and My Friend Pedro, announced that they’d be hosting another press conference at E3 this year. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on what is shown at the conference.
