Jungkook’s debut solo album is officially on the way. On Tuesday, Oct. 3, BTS‘ agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, announced the K-pop singer’s highly-anticipated record, Golden, will drop exactly one month from now on Friday, Nov. 3. The album will bring 11 songs, including Jungkook’s previously released singles “Seven” featuring Latto and “3D” featuring Jack Harlow. BIGHIT MUSIC shared the exciting announcement on the Weverse app, which is also where fans can pre-order Golden.
Jungkook’s Debut Solo Album Gets November Release Date
Before the company confirmed the release date for Jungkook’s debut solo album, the star teased the news back in July. While appearing on BTS’ Suga’s Weverse show, Suchwita, Jungkook gave fans a hint at his music release schedule following the release of “Seven.” During the show, Suga asked Jungkook what he had planned next. “I have another single and then I’ll be releasing a small mini album by November,” Jungkook said.
The BTS star was true to his word. After dropping “Seven” with Latto on July 14, Jungkook unveiled his second single, “3D,” featuring Jack Harlow on Sept. 29. Now, he’s confirmed his first solo album, Golden, will arrive in November.
According to BIGHIT MUSIC’s announcement, the title of Jungkook’s debut solo album is a reference to the star’s nickname, “golden maknae.” The “golden” part is a nod to Jungkook’s extraordinary talents as a singer, dancer, and rapper. Meanwhile, “maknae” is a reference to him being the youngest BTS member.
In their message, the company said fans can look forward to Jungkook’s Golden promotions very soon. In the coming weeks, the singer will deliver “special stage performances” and make “various appearances” to celebrate his album’s release. Fans who can’t wait to get Golden can pre-order the album on the Weverse Shop app starting on Oct. 4.
The release of Golden will make Jungkook the final BTS member to release his own solo album. Previously, V dropped his debut record, Layover, on Sept. 8.
