Caitlin Clark has not been shown much love by her fellow WNBA players. However, Clark has not let that fact bring her down as she continues to go out and play at a high level. Recently, WNBA icon Diana Taurasi had some very uplifting words about Clark in an interview. After the two’s first on-court matchup, the basketball legend had nothing but praise for the star rookie. She has changed the vibes around Clark.
Per TMZ, Taurasi originally stated that Clark would struggle in the WNBA, as it is a completely different beast than college ball. However, Cark has proven her wrong so far by playing at a very high level. Despite being a rookie, Clark is crushing opposing defenses, forcing Diana to recognize Clark’s remarkable play.

“The one thing that I really love about her is she loves the game. You can tell she’s put the work in. Even throughout her short WNBA career, there’s been a lot of pressure and things thrown at her, and she keeps showing up and getting better every game. Obviously, what she’s done for the game has been pretty incredible, and that momentum coming out of college, eyes on you for four years straight, think what she’s doing for that team right now is pretty impressive,” Taurasi said.
Caitlin Clark continues to show how good she really is night after night. However, not everyone appreciates what Clark has been doing for the WNBA. Other players, especially Angel Reese, have been very jealous. Although Calrk is putting women’s basketball on the map, these players are still upset with the attention she gets.
Diana Taurasi is fine with Caitlin Clark being in the spotlight, though. Clark has sold out arenas, given the WNBA charter flights, and she makes people excited to watch women’s basketball. That’s why Diana has given her so much praise. Clark is doing what no other WNBA player has done before.
