California Redditors Criticize the 9/11 Mobile Exhibit
Many Reddit users familiar with Los Angeles said they weren’t surprised the truck ran into trouble, with several pointing out that parts of the 110 Freeway have long-standing restrictions on large vehicles. One local wrote, “Yup, exactly that spot where the 110 exits onto Bishops, where it runs by the Catholic school off Broadway near the Lincoln Heights side of Elysian. I have had the pleasure of getting stuck behind a semi here 3 times in my 10 years in LA.”
Others took a more lighthearted approach, poking fun at the unusual situation. One commenter quipped, “I certainly won’t forget this,” while another questioned the exhibit itself, writing, “Why have a mobile unit?! I am questioning the motive of whoever would finance such a thing.”
While the image initially caught people’s attention because of the stranded truck, the discussion soon broadened into a wider debate about the traveling exhibit itself. Some questioned whether it was an appropriate use of taxpayer money, while others simply couldn’t understand how the vehicle ended up in a restricted area.
