A group of California high school students were filmed harassing a woman because she was wearing a shirt that read, “Israel Kills Children.”
It was claimed online that the students belonged to YULA High School, a private Jewish high school in Los Angeles, California. The school is also officially known as Yeshiva University High School of Los Angeles.
The video showed a woman walking on the street while wearing a black shirt with the words “Israel kills children” written on it. The students appeared to oppose the message on her shirt, which led them to follow and harass her.
In the footage, the high school students surrounded the woman and began jumping up and down. They could be heard singing what appeared to be an Israeli song. The woman seemed to try to speak to some of the students, but they continued singing. At one point, one of the students also took a selfie with her without her permission.
Some of the students also began waving an Israeli flag in the woman’s face. As she attempted to walk away from the situation, the students followed her and continued surrounding her. Some even walked faster to prevent her from getting away. Throughout the incident, they continued singing, jumping, and filming her.
The next part of the video showed the woman speaking to one of the students before she began crossing the street, only for the group to follow her. At one point, one of the students stood in front of her, preventing her from walking further. The video ended with the student eventually allowing her to continue as the group continued following her. It remains unclear what happened afterward.
The situation in Gaza has also led to widespread beliefs that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians. In its provisional measures, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Israel to take measures under its obligations under the Genocide Convention to prevent acts including killing members of the Palestinian group and deliberately inflicting conditions of life that could bring about its physical destruction.
The scale of the killing has been particularly devastating for children. UNICEF reported that at least 21,700 Palestinian children had been killed in Gaza as of June 30, 2026, with another 45,000 children reported injured. These figures provide context for the message on the woman’s shirt, which referred to the killing of children in Gaza.
Viewers Slam California High School students for Harassing Woman
Many viewers criticized the California high school students after seeing the video, arguing that they should not have harassed the woman over her shirt. “Zionist scum,” one person wrote. Others directed their criticism toward the school, with another person saying, “I guess they teach crowding around a lone woman and yelling at her with 20 of your bros is the best way to show exemplary moral conduct. A+ for these young men!”
More people continued criticizing the students, with one person commenting, “These kids literally have no idea what’s happening. They all look around at each other’s reactions before proceeding.” Another person said, “Disgusting behavior – and it’s not antisemitic to say so.” Someone then replied, “It’s also not antisemitic to say [expletive] Israeli zionists but they would have you believe it is. They just need to always be the victim.”
The video also brought attention to criticism of Israel’s actions in Palestine. Many viewers expressed their opposition to the treatment of Palestinians. It also led to discussion about whether people should be harassed for expressing their views on the genocide.
