It has been clear that ICE isn’t the kind of people who deal with things civilly. They don’t mind snatching people away from their families or their jobs without even checking their IDs. Basically, they don’t care. When they arrest someone using force, they don’t take accountability for their actions. They did the exact same thing in California when two of them tackled a man to the ground. The short video shows the two ICE agents on top of a man whom they are holding against the pavement. You can hear the camerawoman saying, “He says he is a U.S.A. citizen.”
When the two idiots realize that they just attacked an American, they get off him. They then try to pull him up, like this will make things any better. You can hear some amusement in their voice after they realize what they just did. “What the hell?” their victim asks them as he stands up, and they start walking away. Their response? “Why were you running?” So does that mean that anyone who starts running near ICE agents should be brutally tackled to the ground? I, too, would have run if I saw two men in tactical gear with guns running after me. Not to mention that they hide their faces and don’t hold any badges. They are basically strangers, of course, he would run.
People Reacting to the California ICE Agents’ Mistake
People are usually furious toward ICE agents when they kidnap immigrants, so you can imagine their reaction to the fact that the California agents attacked a citizen. One person hinted at the inhuman treatment by saying, “Civil rights? What civil rights?” There was someone else who shared a story about how they were almost kidnapped by police impersonators. They said:
“If you can tell they aren’t real cops, you should run… I managed to escape on foot a kidnapping from Police Impersonators back in March and am a white guy, sure enough they didn’t chase after me because I literally risked bodily harm to avoid getting stuffed into their fake cruiser and jumped down 10 feet into a dirt embankment and am lucky I didn’t break any bones. They dipped out fast before I could even get up and run off, it was like nothing ever happened…. Videos like this and the MN law maker getting shot make me feel less crazy trying to explain my insane encounter.”
Since violence can only bring more violence, someone said, “I’m waiting for the news headline of someone shooting ICE agents after thinking they were being kidnapped by another gang.” Several people agreed that this was close to happening while there was one person who claimed that this is what Trump wanted. “It’s the goal. Imagine how giddy Trump will be when he gets to announce ‘due to armed violent liberals trying to kill federal officers and protecting criminals, we’re declaring martial law to ensure a swift and peaceful end to the this insurrection.’ I’m sure the administration has the tweets and speech drafted and they’re just dying to hit enter.” It won’t be surprising if this actually happens.
