A parking dispute in Anaheim, California, escalated after a man repeatedly called a disabled Hispanic woman an “illegal alien” as she told him she was born in the United States. Posts sharing the confrontation also claimed he threatened to call ICE as the two argued over an accessible parking space.
According to the post that shared the video, the man’s truck blocked an accessible parking space while he unloaded mobility scooters. @thatblackveteran filmed the confrontation and later shared it on TikTok. @LongTimeHistory also shared it on X.
In the 26-second clip, the man wears a white long-sleeve shirt, jeans, and sunglasses. He stands facing the camera and repeatedly shouts, “Illegal alien. Illegal.” The woman responds that she was born in the U.S., and he replies, “Yeah. Yeah. Sure you are.”
He then turns back toward the truck, which has a loading ramp extended and several mobility scooters nearby. The man also claims to own the company shown on the truck.
He gestures while discussing the accessible parking space and remarks about the woman being “definitely mentally handicapped.” The video shows no physical violence and does not reveal how the dispute ended. According to the post, the truck was obstructing the parking space or its access aisle, preventing the woman from using it.
In a follow-up TikTok, the commentator claimed the man returned his call and identified himself as the owner of Gold Mobility Scooters. He said he demanded an apology to the woman and the Latino community and disputed online claims that the man was simply an employee who had since been fired.
However, no independent evidence has established the man’s ownership claim. Publicly available business information for a Gold Mobility Scooters entity operating from an Anaheim address identifies a different individual as its manager. The company’s Anaheim website also includes customer testimonials referring to someone named Chuck as the location’s manager. Neither source establishes what role, if any, the man in the video currently holds with the company.
Internet Reacts to the California Parking Lot Video
TikTok comments criticized the man’s behavior and the confrontation. One person wrote, “choose peace and get away from Dumb people.” Another said, “That company should be ashamed of having that awful employee.”
A third commenter took a broader view, writing, “This is what people at the top want… see people at the bottom fight. Stupidity!”
Other commenters focused on the language used during the confrontation, questioning why the woman’s background became part of what began as a parking dispute. Several viewers also called for the business to respond after the company’s name became visible in footage circulating online.
What happened after the parking lot confrontation remains unclear. Social media users have circulated conflicting claims that the man was either fired from Gold Mobility Scooters or actually owns the business, but neither claim has been independently established.
What the original footage does establish is the exchange that started the backlash: The woman told the man she was born in the United States after he repeatedly called her an “illegal alien,” only for him to respond, “Yeah. Yeah. Sure you are.”
