Elon Musk has been under a lot of fire recently as people aren’t exactly fans of his. With Tesla protests taking place all over the country, it is easy to notice that not many people are taking Musk’s side. He became more alienated when he joined the Trump administration as people opposed him being there. Now, California Rep. Robert Garcia has talked about Musk. To Garcia, Elon Musk has become one of the most unlikable characters in the USA. Several people were glad to hear that as many of them agreed with the California Rep’s words.
While speaking at an event, the California Rep. starts talking about Elon Musk and how he is perceived currently. He says:
“The man [Musk] can’t even go and play video games anymore because the people that he’s playing with are harassing him online. So he is himself feeling more and more isolated, he’s posting less on X, he’s distancing himself a little bit more from the administration, and I think that he understands that he’s the most unlikable person in this country.”
People Reacting to the California Rep’s Words
People in the comments were glad to hear that Musk is described as the most unlikable person in the USA. One person was delighted to hear the California Rep’s words as they said, “Good. F**k him.” Another corrected the California Rep as he said “in the country.” That person said “In the world*. I hate him from abroad too.” One even stated that Musk is the most hated man in the world. “‘This country’ is being kind.. Mfs in Australia are protesting him. This is the most hated man alive currently… And considering his competition, that’s saying a lot,” they wrote.
The hate toward Musk continued as people kept responding to the California Rep’s words. One Redditor blamed Musk for the situation he is currently in:
“He earned every bit of the hate coming his way. He could begin to change that in an instant, but he won’t. He thinks he is a nice guy and has done nothing wrong. He can’t play video games online because he cheats. Everyone knows he has other players play for him. Why this is a big deal to him is beyond me. What guy with 20,000 projects on the go has time for video games?
Elons’ wounds are self-inflicted. I have no compassion for him. He is unrepentant.”

Another person agreed that Musk is to blame as they wrote, “Musk’s current ‘status’ is entirely his own fault.” It’s not just that people dislike Musk, but they described their feelings toward him as those of hatred. “Unlikable is an understatement,” one person wrote. Someone else disagreed with the California Rep saying that people don’t like Musk as they wrote instead, “We hate him.” Honestly, I’m very thankful that I’m not in Musk’s shoes right now.
