Three teens from Sacramento, California, are facing backlash over videos that show them targeting people in public, including unhoused individuals, by throwing water on them. The clips have drawn criticism from viewers who say the behavior goes far beyond a harmless prank. The backlash has also prompted calls for the people involved to be identified and held accountable.

The footage came from a social media account that reportedly has only a small number of videos. Despite the limited amount of content, the clips have drawn significant attention as viewers shared their concerns about what they show. Some commenters claimed the account later went private or disappeared following the backlash.

However, it was too late to hide their actions after TikToker TizzyEnt covered the incident. Several videos appear to show three California teens approaching people in public before throwing water on them and running away. One of the most criticized clips shows an unhoused man near a van as the group approaches while holding out a container of water. He appears to reach toward it, seemingly expecting to receive the water, before the young men throw it on him and flee.

Other footage reportedly shows people being targeted while riding bicycles, walking their dogs, or sitting in their vehicles. One clip discussed by the critic appears to show a woman in a car being approached, while another person is seen carrying what appears to be a metal pipe while approaching the vehicle.

The teens’ response to criticism also drew attention. After one commenter warned, “Karma will get you all,” the creators responded, “Are you next?” The exchange added to the criticism surrounding the videos.

TizzyEnt raised concerns that the people being targeted would have no way of knowing whether the liquid was actually clean water. The account reportedly does not clearly identify the people behind it, although their faces appear visible in the videos.

Viewers were especially disturbed by the unhoused man who appeared to believe he was being offered water before being drenched. Some said the moment was particularly cruel, with several noting that he picked up the cups afterward. “That really broke my heart. That man just wanted some water and they assaulted him. I’d be so ashamed if my kids treated anyone like this.” one user wrote.

Many commenters called for police to investigate and described the California teens’ behavior as assault. Others expressed concern about the apparent metal pipe and questioned whether the people involved could be minors, with some arguing that parents should face consequences if their children were responsible.

Sacramento locals also joined the discussion, pointing to areas they believed appeared in the footage, including the Arden-Arcade area. Some commenters claimed they recognized the individuals or had seen similar behavior before.

The backlash extended beyond the specific videos, with viewers criticizing prank culture that involves humiliating or frightening strangers. Several parents said they would discipline or report their own children for behaving this way.

For the people being targeted, the joke appears to end where the water lands. What the three California teens may see as a prank has left viewers asking a much more serious question: who is going to be held accountable?
