It’s not uncommon for one to have arguments with their neighbors about parking in the street. What is unusual is when one neighbor has several cars parked all over the street. This is the situation a California woman is dealing with currently. She shared a video saying her Mexican neighbors asked her to move her car, which she did. This might have been an innocent request, but she then started pointing out the cars parked on the street that belonged to the same neighbor. Shockingly enough, she pointed out how 10 cars parked on the street all belong to the same neighbor. In addition, four vehicles were parked at night and were theirs as well. So basically, the same house has 14 cars parked, and yet they are asking her to move her car.
“How many parking spaces should one house be allowed to take up?” the California woman asked. The cars keep increasing, too, because she said there would also be another car parked that blocks the sidewalk. You might wonder why one house would have about 15 cars, but the woman quickly explained how that is possible. 27 people are living there. “27 people live there.. 2 parents and 4 kids live in the garage.. a couple and their 2 kids live in the living room, there’s 3 rooms upstairs and each room contains a family of 3 .. and then there’s a room down stairs with a family of 4,” she wrote in a comment.
She has every right to call this ridiculous. It is even more infuriating that they complained about her car and made her get a ticket. This is why she plans to file complaints against them as well. She also said that she called the cops and the city for years about what was happening, but no one helped her. In another video, she even revealed that the men living in her neighbor’s house would go outside to pee. So there are a lot more problems here, and not just the parking situation.
People Reacting to the California Woman’s Video
People were just as upset as the California woman, not just about the many cars her neighbors had, but also about the fact that they had 27 people living under one roof. Since she said that they were Mexican, several people encouraged her to get them deported. “Maybe you should call ICE instead,” one person wrote. Another person said, “Call ice they’ll help him move them cars.” Dozens of comments kept saying the same thing which is honestly an extreme solution. Others encouraged calling the authorities to report the number of people living there. “Yep or some are sitting. If there are that many people living there, they are over occupancy. If not, they probably don’t move all the cars every day and most places have rules about abandoned or inoperable vehicles. I would start calling them in if they just sit,” someone said.
More people left comments urging the California woman to address the situation. “I would call the city because if they have that many people residing in that house it couod be like a fire hazard,” one person wrote. Another person suggested that she report them just like they did to her. “They snitched on you to get more parking in front of your house. You should snitch back bc there’s no way it’s legal to have that many people in one house and the garage,” they wrote. Someone else said, “Call code enforcement! That’s illegal to have that many people and cars living in one house.” Few people defended the Mexican family, such as one person who wrote, “It’s all public parking as long not blocking a drive way.” They should still think of their other neighbors who need parking space as well.
