A group of women in California was filmed repeatedly slamming their hands against a window separating them from an employee during an alleged dispute over change.
The women shared a video on Instagram showing them standing behind what appeared to be a bulletproof glass barrier separating them from an employee. In the video, one of the women began repeatedly slamming her hands against the glass while the employee simply stared at her.
Another woman from the group then joined her, and the two repeatedly hit the glass. The third woman filmed the incident while laughing at her friends’ actions before eventually joining them and hitting the glass as well.
The women stopped for a moment before continuing to slam their hands against the glass. The employee then backed farther into the store while the women continued yelling. Some items could be seen on the floor, although it is unclear whether the women were responsible for knocking them over.
As the employee backed away, the women began leaving the store. However, one of them returned and appeared to spit inside the store in the employee’s direction while her friends laughed. In the Instagram caption, one of the women claimed that the employee had charged them extra because “he didn’t wanna be at work.”
After facing backlash, the same woman responded by insulting people who criticized the group. “For everyone in the comments talking [expletive] y’all don’t know how it is living in LA that [racial slur] was talking [expletive] before we came up. Second, he charged us extra just because he wanted to be an [expletive]. Y’all don’t know half of it, like shut up fr. You don’t like what I post, keep scrolling,” she wrote. The women’s claims about the employee’s alleged treatment of them have not been independently verified.
Viewers Criticize California Women for Behavior at Store
The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers criticized the California women over their behavior at the store, particularly their repeated slamming against the glass barrier. “[Expletive] insane lol. Poor cashiers have to be behind barriers and dispense products to these animals through a hole. Just like in a ZOO,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “That place is definitely in the ghetto. It’s built like a prison for a reason. Probably has bullet resistant glass too. It shows us how things have to be when dealing with feral hood rats.”
More viewers criticized the women’s behavior, with some arguing that incidents like this may contribute to stores installing protective glass barriers. “And they wonder why their convenience stores look more like bank windows…,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “need more doors like this in every liquor store.” Someone else added, “close all convenience stores and it will go away.”
The video sparked a broader conversation about how some customers may cause scenes in stores over disputes involving money. It also led to discussion about the measures businesses can take to protect their employees and property from disruptive behavior, as well as when authorities should become involved in such incidents.
