YouTuber and comedian Brandon Rogers, a California crossdresser known for his comedy characters, shared a video showing a tense confrontation with a man who allegedly harassed him while he was filming a skit in a parking lot. The incident drew attention online after the man reportedly followed Rogers and his crew to a second location, criticized his appearance, and allegedly threw water in his direction.
The video was originally posted on Rogers’ Instagram account before being shared across other social media platforms, including Reddit. The post quickly gained traction, drawing thousands of likes, comments, and shares as viewers discussed both the confrontation and Rogers’ response.
According to Rogers, he and his team were filming a skit in an otherwise empty parking lot when a man approached and began making insulting remarks toward his assistant. In the caption accompanying the video, Rogers said the man directed offensive comments at the crew and repeatedly told him he was “going to hell” because of the way he was dressed.
The footage shows Rogers, dressed as one of his female comedy characters, recording the interaction while remaining in character. During the exchange, the man repeatedly criticized Rogers for wearing women’s clothing and at one point referred to him as an “abomination.” Rogers responded with jokes and sarcastic remarks, turning much of the confrontation into a comedic exchange rather than a heated argument.
Rogers said he and his crew attempted to leave the area, but the man allegedly followed them in his vehicle to another nearby parking lot and continued shouting from his car. The California crossdresser continued filming as the interaction escalated.
As the encounter continued, the man appeared to throw liquid from inside his vehicle toward Rogers. The footage also appears to show a bottle being thrown from the car window moments later. Neither object appeared to strike Rogers, and the video ends without any physical altercation beyond the thrown items. It remains unclear where in California the incident occurred or whether law enforcement was contacted afterward. Rogers did not indicate in his post whether any report was filed.
Online Response to California Incident
The reaction online was largely supportive of Rogers, with many commenters criticizing the man’s behavior and questioning why someone would go out of their way to confront a person filming a comedy video. One user wrote, “He’s just jealous that u are an iconic baddie”
Many viewers were especially amused by the man’s attempt to compare Rogers to actor Danny DeVito. Rather than viewing it as an insult, commenters flooded discussions with praise for DeVito, joking that being compared to the actor was actually a compliment.
The California crossdresser also received praise for responding with humor instead of anger. Several commenters said the exchange felt like one of Rogers’ own comedy sketches playing out in real life, while others criticized the decision to throw water and a bottle during what began as a verbal confrontation.
