Prepare for a new explosive season of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone with all new content. Players can expect fresh territory to explore and conquer, as well as more than a handful of extra goods.
Season Four Brings the Chaos
In the midst of E3 2021 Day 3, Editorial Writer James Mattone shared an extensive blog detailing everything for Season Four. It starts off simply enough with an announcement image featuring much of the content to come. You can find the blog post here for everything you need to know.
With something strange happening to Russel Adler, a new wave of war approaches from up above. Satellites have entered the field, and with it comes a new breed of challenges and rewards. It all kicks off with the “Ground Fall” limited-time event that will have players find and secure these satellite crash sites to receive some exclusive rewards. The event is available for both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
In addition to the satellite crash sites in the Warzone map, a new gulag called Hijacked will be in Season Four. You can best out your opponents in Hijacked with Season Four’s new operators: Jackal, Salah, and Weaver. The new weapons to equip are the C58, MG 82, OTS 9, a Mace, and the Nail Gun. Plus, there are more Prestige levels to check out as well for some of the recent multiplayer additions.
New Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Maps
There will be four incoming multiplayer maps that are free to enjoy. You have Collateral, Hijacked (not to be confused with the Gulag Hijacked), Amsterdam, and Rush. The multiplayer aspect in Call of Duty is obviously huge, which is why the developers have added in a new mode and two returning favorites. Sat-Link will have squads come up against each other as they each try to secure a satellite for vital data transmissions. The two modes that every Call of Duty fan will be happy to see come back are One in the Chamber and Capture the Flag for Season Four.
Warzone will finally include a Rebirth version for the original map that’ll be called Verdansk Resurgence Mini. It’ll have a more intense feel to the combat, with tighter lobby sizes to fit a maximum of 45 players. Together with the Mini Battle Royale, toward the mid-season, another mode called Payload will feature the game’s first objective-based engagement.
Last, but not least, Zombies will also receive some fresh content. The Zoo will be the new Outbreak Region where the zombies have infested the park. Players can expect to find Dark Aether story Intel as well as World Events and some exhibits. Furthermore, the “Mauer der Toten” map will be the follow-up to Operation Excision, where the Dark Aether story continues within the horrors of ravaged East Berlin.
When to Anticipate Update Times
The new season update will be available for Black Ops Cold War on June 15 at 9 PM (PT). The following day will have Warzone commence the update at 9 PM (PT) as well. You can find out more about the file size updates by going to the blog post and scrolling toward the end of the writing. If you’re planning on joining the battlefield later this month, leave a comment down below and tell us which part of Call of Duty Season Four you’re looking forward to seeing in action.
