Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered fans who were mad they could only get the game on PS4 for the last month can finally relax. As of today, the game is available on the PC and the Xbox One as well.

As the name implies, this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 doesn’t have the multiplayer aspect coming along with it. What it does have is one of the more lauded campaigns in the Call of Duty franchise. As Activision said when it first launched the title, it is also rezzed up quite a bit. The aim here is to make an older version of COD look that much better on the current generation of consoles.

Originally put together by Infinity Ward, the game was remastered by Beenox but still has plenty of the content gamers loved when the game was released the first time around, years ago. Those who pick up and play the Campaign Remastered title will be able to play as members of Task Force 141 and Tier 1 Operatives in several missions all geared towards defeating the enemy and stopping a plot that will actually destroy the world. Those who remember missions like “Cliffhanger,” “Takedown, “No Russian,” and more will get to play them again.

Those that never got around to playing the original release will get to see it in a remastered version for the first time. PS4 users might have gotten it first, but Xbox One gamers will be able to also get their hands on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle with the UDT Ghost Operator skin.

Unfortunately, we here at the Nerdstash didn’t fall in love with this rerelease. It’s probably not surprising that our review found the game a bit hollow without the added modes that came with the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
