Call of Duty: Warzone has launched a surprise update for August 5, so here’s the full list of changes and additions with this patch. As this is a surprise patch, there isn’t a whole lot to talk about here. Still, the patch does give two particular weapons a set of rebalancing. It’s clear Raven Software felt the weapons were much too strong or weak to wait for a bigger patch, so we’re instead getting it today. Given the size of the patch is small, it’s not much of an inconvenience anyways. Without further adieu, here’s everything new with Call of Duty: Warzone’s August 5 update!

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 4 Reloaded Update Patch Notes

Krig 6 (BOCW)

  • Lower Torso Multiplier decreased from 1.1 to 1
  • Maximum Damage Range decreased from 1500 to 1400

CX-9 (MW)

  • Increased mid damage range from 20 to 21
  • Increased Headshot Multiplier from 1.4 to 1.45

As you can see, the August 5 update for Call of Duty: Warzone is a small yet important patch. It’s clear from the stat changes that the Krig 6 has been performing far too well at longer ranges, so its nerf could be seen as warranted. And on the flip side, the brand new CX-9 has proven to be just a tad too weak, so these updates should help to bring it in line with the rest of the weapons. Seeing as not too many have likely used the CX-9 yet though, it’s weird to see Raven Software give it a round of buffs so early. Still, if they believe it should be changed, there’s likely a good reason for it. For the little time it’s been here, it’s proven itself a great pick as a short-mid range SMG, perfect when paired with a formidable sniper.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. For more information regarding this update, check out the official Raven Software twitter account.
