Do you want to know whether you can trade Meltan in Pokemon Go? Pokemon Go is about getting all the pocket creatures into your Pokedex. Some of these Pokemon are easy to catch, while some are elusive and extremely rare, making them hard to get.

One such Pokemon is the mythical Meltan, who appears from time to time in Pokemon Go. However, if you have missed him during his rare appearances, you might get a chance to trade for him. Read this guide to find out whether you can trade Meltan in Pokemon Go.

Can Meltan be Traded in Pokemon Go

Unfortunately, you can’t trade Meltan in Pokemon Go. There is no option to trade to another player or receive from another player in Pokemon Go.

Meltan is a Legendary mythical pure Steel-type Pokemon and, as such, is unavailable for any form of trade in the game.

Meltan is not a Pokemon that you will encounter in the wild, but it is always a part of a special event such as Let’s GO, Meltan. There is a good reason why Meltan is not on your daily catch list. It is too powerful, alongside its evolution, Melmetal.

There is another way to get Meltan in Pokemon Go since trade is not an option. This method is Mystery Boxes. However, for this, you need to own any of the Pokemon Let’s GO games. You need to transfer a Pokemon from Pokemon GO to Let’s Go and get a mystery box.

Once you open the box, Meltan will start spawning around you in the overworld for the next 30 minutes. This will give you enough time to add Meltan to your Pokedex. The mystery box will be on you for the next seven days, and you can use it every day and get a chance to get Meltan in Pokemon Go.

During the Let’s Go event from March 21 to March 29, you will have a chance to get yourself a Mystery Box and add Meltan to your Pokedex.
