May 6th, 2016 will see the release of the third and final(?) installment of Marvel’s Captain America movie franchise, Civil War. It will very likely be the culmination (or, at the very least, the beginning of the end) of the universe Marvel is building with its movies, as the Civil War event in the comics saw the division of the Avengers and the deaths (or transformations) of many of Marvel’s main heroes.
As it stands now, we have heard precious little about the upcoming movie. We have been told that Black Panther will be in the movie. The IMdB page for the movie also confirms casting for Spider-Man, Ant Man, Agent Carter, Bucky Barnes, at least one Thunderbolt, and many others. Needless to say, fans have been clamoring for any and all information regarding the movie.
Fortunately, a few select fans were given a sneak peak. At the Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA, fans got a nice surprise when they were shown a teaser trailer for Cap’s upcoming film. Even more fortunately (for us), one of those fans recorded the teaser on their mobile device and uploaded it to YouTube for the world to see.
Unfortunately, the quality of the video is exactly what you would expect from such a recording. Also, not a whole lot is shown in the trailer. Cap jumps out of a plane; Tony Stark broods; Crossbones shoots.
So it’s a bare minimum of information, but it looks like we will just have to make due until a full trailer is released. And when it is, you can be sure you’ll be able to find it here at The Nerd Stash.
