A TikTok account from the US is currently on fire right now because it belongs to Casey Anthony, who not only showed up on social media abruptly but now also claims that she’s advocating for LGBT and Women’s rights. Casey Anthony is best known for being charged for killing her own daughter… and getting away with it.
The new TikTok account in question popped up on March 1, and on that same day, Casey Anthony released a lengthy statement video on what she’s doing. Apparently, Casey Anthony is now a legal advocate and has been so since 2011. With that in mind, Anthony explained that she’s going to advocate for herself, her daughter, women, and LGBTQ members to operate appropriately as a legal advocate. Here’s the full quote:
“I am a legal advocate. I am a researcher. I’ve been in the legal field since 2011, and in this capacity, I feel that it’s necessary if I’m going to continue to operate appropriately as a legal advocate that I start to advocate for myself — and also advocate for my daughter,” according to Casey Anthony, thanks to OK Magazine for the transciption.
Anthony also stated that one of the reasons for doing what she’s doing right now is that people “close to her” have been targeted. She’s thus including the LGBTQ community in her advocacy.
Hence, Casey Anthony will presumably be posting regularly in her series of legal advocacies, starting with her new TikTok account.
Who is Casey Anthony?
For those who are unaware, Casey Anthony became a controversial figure in 2008 and in the early 2010s after going on trial under the charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and four counts of providing false information to police. Casey was mainly accused of murdering her daughter, Caylee Anthony, using chloroform and suffocating the child using duct tape.
Casey supposedly wanted to free herself from parental responsibilities. She was, however, found “not guilty” of murdering her daughter due to a lack of conclusive evidence. Casey was only convicted on minor charges, such as falsifying the information she gave to law enforcement officers.
Still, the public was not convinced of Casey Anthony’s innocence and she has since been the subject of criticism and notoriety in the following decades. Now, Casey has surfaced back into the public spotlight to be a legal advocate in which her advocacy includes her dead daughter whom she was accused of murdering.
No One’s Buying It
Going back to the TikTok account and Casey’s new “advocacy,” it appears people are not so quick to forget what the convicted mother did. Some of the top comments in Casey’s very own TikTok account reminded people just how “horrible” of a person she was.
