Nothing short of stunning is how anyone would describe Cate Blanchett at Tar Premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. The ageless beauty donned a layered skirt and tucked-in top.
“Tar,” written and directed by Todd Field and starring Cate Blanchett, won an Oscar nomination and awards, including a Golden Globe and a Critic Choice Award.
But after achieving such a remarkable feat, the 53-year-old talked about drawing the curtains from acting.
While fueling retirement gossip, she maintained that staring as Lydia Tar took a toll on her physical and mental health, and she needed to recover. In her words:
“I’m lucky enough to work with some amazing directors…but when it all comes together like that, it does stay with you. And so I don’t ever want to work again.”
But while she is yet to reach a conclusion about her career, Cate Blanchett at Tar Premiere screams that the actress has not given up on looking her best!

Shutterbugs captured Cate Blanchett at Tar Premiere in a set of gorgeous ensembles. The 53-year-old looked half her age rocking her blunt blonde in chaotic waves.
The Aussie tucked in a black turtleneck top featuring a cutout that exposed her entire back. Her bottom was covered in a layered skirt.
Blanchett’s skirt highlighted different shades of colors, beginning from a deep purple to a radiant purple-hibiscus flower color.
Amid the burst of colors on her skirt, the actress added a black belt, showcasing her snatched-up waistline.
At the Berlin Film Festival, she was joined by friends and cast members. Field, and Nina Hoss, an actress in the film, posed next to the lead star.
Before heading out for the red carpet show, Blanchett shared the stage with her colleagues at the Berlinale Talent Talk Grand Orchestra: Conducting Tar event.
Hoss, Field, Sophie Kauer, and Hildur Guðnadóttir, a composer, joined Blanchett in reliving memories of making “Tar.”
Blanchett looked comfortable with her peers as she smiled, showing her charmingness. The film star went retro style by sporting a metallic purple top on latex pants.
