During Jump Festa 2024, MAPPA announced the upcoming Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie. While many were hoping for a second season, several fans are excited to see this arc adapted into a movie. If you didn’t know, this film might adapt half of volume 5 and beyond, which is when we meet Reze, a pivotal character in the manga’s middle chapters. Still, it is uncertain how much content the movie will have or when it’ll premiere, but one thing’s certain: We’re excited to see more of Denji and this new character.
Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc Announced During Jump Festa 2024
Those who read the manga and with keen eyes might’ve spotted Reze already in the first season finale. Without spoiling too much, she’s a girl who has an interest in Denji and has some heartwarming moments with him at first. If the movie will adapt what we think it will, people are in for a treat. Sadly, there wasn’t an announcement of the premiere date for this movie, and we’ll have to wait for more news.
While MAPPA did a fantastic job with Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen, the studio has been criticized greatly for its work conditions, especially for the latter show. Many animators have expressed their frustration with their working conditions, and fans are backing them up, saying it is better to delay episodes instead of employees facing crunch.
Besides the Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc announcement, MAPPA also unveiled a new teaser for Hell’s Paradise. This show received fantastic reviews during its airtime, and fans are waiting to see what’s in store for Gabimaru and his gang. Yet, we hope the studio takes its time to bring a high-quality product, as always, without crunching its employees so much. And, while we wait, remember the Winter 2024 season lineup is already up, so you can see which shows to add to your watchlist.
