Chappell Roan Has Awkward Reunion With Photographer at Olivia Rodrigo’s Movie Premiere
In a viral clip shared online, Chappell Roan is seen ready to pose for photos on the red carpet of Olivia Rodrigo’s movie premiere when she suddenly notices a familiar face in the crowd. After realizing who it is, the pop star approaches the photographer to confront them about a past incident. “You were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys,” Roan told the paparazzi. “You yelled at me at the Grammy party. Yes, I remember. You were so rude to me.”
Roan then demanded an apology from the photographer for how he allegedly treated her at the Grammys party. “I deserve an apology for that. You need to apologize to me,” she said.
It’s unclear if the photographer actually apologized. Shortly after Chappell Roan called him out, a staff member stepped in to ask the singer if she could return to walking the red carpet. She followed suit and resumed posing for photos.
After watching the clip, many fans praised Roan for not letting the photographer’s rude behavior slide. “Proud of her for always standing up for herself. Being a celebrity doesn’t mean you have to be subjected to this,” one fan wrote. “Chappell Roan is not taking any disrespect,” another fan commented.
However, there were some people who criticized Roan’s behavior, claiming she took attention away from Olivia Rodrigo’s movie. “The unprofessionalism…” one person said. “Trying to make others events about yourself wow,” read another comment.
Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS concert film will begin streaming on Netflix on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
