Charly Reynolds’ latest song Out of Hands resonates perfectly with her real-life circumstances as she primes up for a career-saving vocal cord surgery. The crooner recently opened up about her vocal cord damage, and how she hopes to fix the situation as soon as possible, to avoid further damage, and possibly give herself a better chance at a successful career.
Speaking to People, the songstress explained how she began noticing issues with her voice in April 2022. As it progressed, she started having trouble singing, but that did not hinder her from singing, further putting the strain on her voice. She dismissed those issues as simply signs that she was singing too much, and tired from “taking on too much.”
Charly Reynolds Vocal Cord Issues Only Worsened
As time progressed, Charly Reyolds noticed her voice only worsened. By August 2022, she could hardly keep up singing for up to thirty minutes without losing her voice. At that point, she realized she needed to seek medical assistance. She received the heartbreaking diagnosis following a doctor’s visit. The singer divulged:
“My vocal cords were very inflamed and hemorrhaged and bloody. It was just the total opposite of what you’re hoping to see.”
Medical experts recommended she took a month-long vocal rest, and she complied. But that did little to help her vocal issues. In December, she made up her mind to undergo surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, rather than wait for five years time, when things worsened. She quipped:
“Scar tissue had developed on my vocal cords. I decided to do the surgery now rather than wait five years, you know.”
Charly Reynolds’ Latest Hit Befits Her Situation
Charly Reynolds made the shocking disclosure in the wake of the release of her latest song, Out of My Hands. The country singer wrote the song alongside Zachary Manno and Emma Lynn White and has since taken the world by storm, especially in the world of country music. Admittedly, her ongoing situation with her voice partly inspired the hit, as it explained the situation of her life now. She explained:
“The title, Out of My Hands is just very fitting right now because this whole situation has been very out of my hands. I felt through this whole process, that it’s turned into something in which I feel like God is teaching me to let go of control.”
Charly hoped she could pass through this phase and fully recover within two months, take back control of her life, and set herself on the path to perfection she had planned out.
