As expected, many runners approached the pillow to punch it before returning to the marathon. Some even filmed themselves while doing so, and a few others just smiled while punching the piñata-like object.

Also, there were a lot of “participants” who stopped to do this, which is expected, given the situation that this city and other places around it are suffering. If you didn’t know, ICE has invaded almost all of Illinois and has been wrongfully taking some people away, making many citizens in the state angry.
