Christina Milian discovers an alternative workout route via an adrenaline-pumping adventure through the Fortnite universe with sister Liz Milian. Earlier this week, the singer announced her plans to participate in a gaming challenge on her sister’s game-streaming channel on Twitch.tv. The challenge even sparked the interest of actor Alex Simizu who announced his plans to watch the livestream of the sisters’ virtual duel on Thursday night. The Trophies crooner even got a special package delivery of a new outfit set from the Karueche x Staple and Hue collection ahead of the big game.
In a pre-game video shared on Instagram, Liz explained the stakes involved in the Fortnite challenge, noting that her sister Christina Milian had the liberty to pick any of the games ahead of the 8:00 p.m. showdown. Liz promised the entire session would be fun and entertaining as they would be playing and chatting concurrently throughout the live stream.
Christina Milian Takes on Fortnite Challenge With Sister
The sisters did not disappoint on game night, going right on to business. During the Fortnite game session, aired live on Liz Milian’s Twitch streamer, Christina Milian made sure to don her new gymgirl-inspired fit, looking ready to conquer even the most intense workout. Only this time, the pair ended up spending hours side-by-side on the couch while their gaming characters sweated it out on increasingly difficult quests.
Christina Milian also got to play with Alex Shimizu and shared an excerpt from their streaming session posted by Alex Shimizu on TikTok. It captured the moment the Japanese native’s character slayed Christina’s game character, with a dramatic voice-over announcing,
“Masuka Kills Maria LaGuerta (in Fortenite).”
The caption referenced Alex and Christina’s respective characters in the crime drama, Dexter. On the Showtime TV series which began airing in 2006, Christina Milian played detective Maria LaGuert, while Alex Shimizu played the socially awkward forensic investigator Vince Masuka. Amid the resurging popularity of the drama following its Netflix release, the show introduced two new spinoffs, Dexter: Original Sin and Dexter: Resurrection. This increased interest seemingly captured the attention of Fortnite creators, spurring the idea of introducing Dexter Skins to the video game, on popular demand.
