Christine Brown has gotten the last laugh in her split from Kody Brown, time and time again. It’s been evident to Sister Wives fans that the man at the center of plural marriages has had a hard go of things. Since the end of his marriage with Christine, other relationships have fallen apart, with each of the women airing some grievances about him.
That’s not to say Kody hasn’t opened up about his own problems with each of his relationships. It seems like some of his most inflammatory comments have been about his and Christine’s split.
The plural spouses came out with a book detailing their relationships and how they all came together. Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage, released in 2013, featured a story where Kody recalled a road trip with Christine. She picked up chili cheese nachos at a gas station stop along the way, which seemed to trigger her then-partner.
Kody recalled Christine as being “a little bit chubby” and ordering “what seemed like the largest portion of chili cheese nachos” he’d encountered. He went on to explain that Christine was eating quickly and messily, which upset him.
Looking back, I hate myself for the thoughts I had at that moment, but the sight of this chubby girl in my car devouring chili cheese nachos for breakfast put the brakes on our relationship.
Readers had a lot to say about the fact that a messy meal “cooled his attraction a lot” for a woman he’d go on to marry anyway.
Christine Comemorated Ending Up at That Gas Station Again
The mom of six shared a cheeky video to commemorate stopping at the gas station where she got those nachos that skeeved Kody out.
Car confessions! So I don’t know if you read our book or not, but in it, Kody talks about how I was eating nachos and it really, really grossed him out.
This was the gas station where I got the nachos at… right there! Yeah, super crazy. So here it is … I almost feel like probably having some nachos just to … as an anniversary, right? That kind of thing.

Christine had a cute and pointed conclusion for the video. With a big smile on her face, she said, “But I’m nachos anymore!”
The play on word and little slice of shade was everything to Sister Wives fans who believe Kody had that coming.
Christine’s Husband, David, Has Also Taken a Jab at Kody’s Comment
On an occasion where the couple happened to be enjoying some nachos last year, Christine’s husband, David Woolley, called out Kody’s nacho comment.
On Christine’s birthday, he enjoyed nachos with her and wrote, “I love eating nachos with you, My Queen!”
Christine replied, “Thanks for the fun nacho date love! I feel blessed to have someone to laugh with!”
Commenters had a blast calling out the obvious shade toward Kody. A lot of people felt it was symbolic of Kody’s lack of understanding and accepting of Christine throughout their relationship.
