Universal has released a trailer for Cocaine Bear (seen below), which Elizabeth Banks directs. The look at the horror-comedy, which is loosely based on true events, is filled with blood, drugs, and hilarity that sets the tone of what people should expect when seeing it in theaters on February 24, 2023.
The true story is less exciting than the film. In 1985, a 175-pound bear was discovered in Georgia that consumed 70 pounds of the powdery drug. To no surprise, the animal was dead from consuming the drug. The Cocaine Bear trailer flips it with a 500-pound animal going on a rampage, slaughtering everyone in its path as its high gives it some extra energy and strength.
