For most people, their pets are a part of their families. However, this Colorado woman went above and beyond for her feline friend as she would drop 5K on a gold tooth. 22-year-old Clarrisse Bosman, from Denver, Colorado, sprang into action after her cat, Tofu, broke her tooth. Any kind of dental injury can be excruciating for humans and cats alike. However, thanks to Clarrisse, Tofu seems to be thriving with her new shiny tooth.
Reports from Newsweek state that Clarrisse Bosman was out of town when the incident took place. The Colorado woman confirms that her fiancé was watching over the cat while Bosman visited some family. This is when Clarrisse would get an unexpected phone call from her partner stating that Tofu had broken one of her front teeth. It was speculated that the animal was chewing on a music box made out of balsa wood. This is allegedly not the first time Tofu has gotten into trouble by chewing on objects she has no business chewing on. However, after the fact, the vet hooked Tofu up with “Real gold grills.” However, once Reddit users got wind of this, many seemed to believe that “This is not normal.”
Social Media Users React to Colorado Woman Paying for Her Cat’s Gold Tooth
More social media users would also give their opinions regarding the $5,000 gold tooth.
“Don’t adopt a pet unless you have the budget for emergencies,” said one.
“This is not a normal amount to spend on a cat’s tooth,” wrote another.
Finally, one other jokingly said, “I would never tell anyone that I won the lottery, but there would be signs.”
It seems like most users are very confused about this cat’s gold tooth.
Tofu was adopted from the Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden, Colorado. She had been there since she was found as a 10-month-old stray cat. However, Bosman states that she had only gone into the shelter to look around. Although in a classic tale, Tofu won her over by rubbing against her cage and flopping around in her water bowl. The cat was then placed on a five-day hold in the lost and found just to make sure nobody came looking for her.
After nobody claimed the cat, she would be sent to her new home with her Colorado woman. Tofu even has a brother named Skwinkle. Bosman confirms that Tofu lives her best life with her new family and is a “rambunctious part of the family.” Dropping that kind of cash for her cat’s gold tooth may seem a little extra. However, Bosman has her reasons, some medical and some personal. Although the important part is that Tofu has recovered and is said to still be the life of the party. As Clarrisse Bosman and Tofu attempt to ride this wave to TikTok fame, it should be fun to watch their journey.
