I would have sued

Sometimes you might find yourself in unexpected situations such as the one this Connecticut woman found herself in. While eating Crumbl cookies with friends, the lady noticed an object that looked like an acrylic nail inside one of the cookies. TikTok went crazy over the video as they waited to see the new developments including how the woman contacted Crumbl about the situation.

The first video posted by the Connecticut woman showed her as she realized that one of her Crumbl cookies had metal in it. After touching the weird object with her nail, she and her friends noticed how it made the sound an acrylic nail would make. What was weird, though, was how she and her friends were way too excited about the entire situation. If I realized that I was so close to eating an acrylic nail, I would have been in shock.

People Reacting to the Situation

The comments quickly pointed out the girls’ excitement. One person wrote, “They screaming cause they know they making bank.” Another person joked, saying, “I’m pulling up [to Crumbl] like ‘let me see everybody’s nails rn‘.” A debate quickly happened as people wondered if the Connecticut woman could sue the company. One TikTok user didn’t believe the video and ended up saying, “You can tell it was the bigger girl’s nail.” To which one replied by saying, “It was quite literally BAKED into the cookie, let’s use our thinking caps here.“

The funny thing was when someone pointed out how Crumbl didn’t comment this time since they usually comment on videos featuring their products. “Crumbl silent now! Usually I see them all up in the comments,” they said. We then see the end of the Connecticut woman’s video where Crumbl workers are examining the cookie in question and debating about what exactly is inside it.

The Connecticut Woman Posts Updates

After the initial video, the Connecticut woman posted an update about what she did next. She made sure to point out that she wasn’t sure if it was an acrylic nail or not. What made her believe it was its shape and the sound it made because she knew what acrylic nails sounded like. She also stated that if it was a nail, it would have been really gross. This is something we all can agree on.

When she went back to the Crumbl branch to let them know what she found, they thought it might be a piece of tin foil. However, the Connecticut woman doesn’t know if Crumbl used tin foil in the process of making the cookies or not. She then says that when they [the Crumbl cookies workers] pulled out the object, it looked exactly like a nail.

While people were waiting for her to sue, she said that she wouldn’t be going after Crumbl for a lawsuit. “I really could care less,” the Connecticut woman said as she pointed out that she would still eat Crumbl cookies despite everything that went down. She and her friends did receive a free box of cookies when they went back to the branch.

Reaching Out to Crumbl

Following the first update, the Connecticut resident posted another update after she reached out to Crumbl’s customer support line. The representative was shocked and asked for the location of the branch along with a picture of the receipt. The Customer Assist Lead at Crumbl HQ then reached out to the woman. They stated that they filed a report about the entire situation to find out what happened.

Following up on this conversation, the Customer Assist lead reached out again to the Connecticut woman. She ended up giving her a $100 gift card to Doordash. After this, the owner of Crumbl’s North Haven store, where this situation happened, also reached out. He reimbursed the lady and the offered her the option to come in and have another free box. She then asked her followers what she should do next and if she should stop at this point. Someone wrote in answer to her question, “Don’t stop until a million bucks.” Another person advised her to call a lawyer:

“Call a lawyer and get a free consult about the situation. It seems like they are trying to sweep it under the rug and pay you off so you don’t sue them. This is something so serious!”

Despite all the advice to get a lawyer involved or keep pushing for more, the Connecticut woman seems to be satisfied with how the situation turned out. She didn’t post any new updates about Crumbl so it is kind of safe to say that she won’t demand anything more. I, on the other hand, would have definitely sued or at least seen what the legal situation was.
