Earlier this week the UK’s longest-serving video game publisher, Deep Silver and System 3, announced that they would be remaking their first ever title. A cult classic from back in 1997, tycoon builder Constructor will be coming to modern PC and consoles.

In this game, construction meets corruption, as Constructor will empower its players to become a budding property tycoon by any means necessary. Think Roller Coaster Tycoon meets the mafia.

Alongside building homes and businesses, the player must navigate the tangled web of Undesirables looking to extort the business before it reaches success. To combat this motley crew of reprobates it’s necessary to become just as bad as them. Murder, arson, extortion, and sabotage are just the short list of tools to take advantage of in Constructor in order to earn power.

While rivalries with other business will be an important aspect of the game, the name of the game is growth. To control the city lure chumps into the neighborhood, trade up your business, and have the workers who take care of the development settle into the city and have families of their own, becoming tenants. Be sure to keep them all happy though!

Constructor

Console gamers can experience a small sample of what’s to come upon the game’s full release right now, as Constructor is currently available in demo format on PlayStation® Network and Xbox Live. The 40-minute tutorial will allow players to get a grasp on things, followed by 12 minutes of uninterrupted fun in the single-player mode of this cult British classic, with unlimited replays available.

Constructor will be released digitally and physically in the Americas for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the all-in-one entertainment system from Microsoft, on July 25th, 2017.
