Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 (you can read our review here) is a remarkably fun, remarkably difficult game that tasks you with cooking increasingly difficult meals as quickly as possible. And yes, the official title has a whole bunch of exclamation points in it, but I’m eliminating those for my sanity’s sake. Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 was packed with plenty of content on its initial release, but a new post on the game’s Steam page indicates that a huge new “Barista Update” is on the way to Cook, Serve, Delicious 2. Best of all, it’s 100% free.

Obviously, the Barista Update will focus on coffee shops. It will mostly add new drinks, such as coffee, frozen drinks, and lattes, but will also add a variety of new food options and twists on some of the foods already included in the game. It will also add new restaurants to Teragon Supertower so that players can incorporate these new options into their repertoires.

In addition to the new food and drink options, the Barista Update promises new modes, features, and an increase in the level cap for Cook, Serve, Delicious 2. Even if you already saw everything in the game the first time around, it sounds like this update will add enough new content to make it worth your while to step back into the cooking arena.

There is no exact release date yet, but the Barista Update will supposedly be coming to Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 in June of this year. The developers have promised more details in the coming weeks, and have also announced that some of the new features will be playable at PAX East.

We’ll have more details on the Barista Update as they become available. If you want a little different style of cooking game, check out our review of the bizarrely addictive Battle Chef Brigade here.
