Coral Island: Beach Cleanup Day Guide

Life on Coral Island isn’t all about working on the farm and cleaning up trash from the beach and seabed. It’s also about vacations, festivals, and cleaning up trash from the beach… More specifically, the villagers hold a Beach Cleanup Day event in Coral Island every summer. As the name suggests, this is a festival where you can make the beach cleaner. But of course, just cleaning would be too boring, so during the event players can engage in some special activities.

When Is Beach Cleanup Day?

Once you start living on the island, you won’t notice how spring will end, and the warm, sunny Summer will begin. And in addition to new crops, this season can offer you some fun events. One of them is called Beach Cleanup Day which takes place on the 27th in Coral Island. You won’t be able to miss this festival, as the mayor will send you an invitation letter on the 26th.

Also, when your character wakes up on the 27th, you will see a notification reminding you of Beach Cleanup Day. To join it, you just need to visit the Beach from 09:00 to 14:00. Also, it is worth noting that as soon as you start the event, the time in the game will stop, so you can enjoy the festival as much as you want.

Festival Shops and Activities

While walking on the beach, you can chat with the townspeople about the Beach Cleanup Day festival in Coral Island. Also, when interacting with the monument in the center, you will see a nice cutscene of everyone trying to clean the beach. But besides this, you can take part in two event activities:

• Tug of War – A simple mini-game in which you need to press a button as quickly as possible to pull the rope. (however, it seems to be bugged, which makes winning it a real challenge) As a reward, you can get 100 Merit Points, 500 Coins, and 3 Ropes for first place, or just 100 coins for second.
• Swimming Contest – This mini-game is also based on pressing buttons repeatedly. Depending on your location, you will be able to get various Kelps, Coins, and even Merit Points.
