Coral Island is a seasonal game, so players can see the changes depending on whether it is Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter. But also, in each season, there are special events such as festivals. The Cherry Blossom Festival is the spring festival, the first of the year when players start a new game on Coral Island. During this event, there are mini-games to participate in and a store with Cherry Blossom-themed items. All You Need To Know About the Spring Festival in Coral Island
(Updated on August 9, 2024 – updated links and formatting)
The Cherry Blossom Festival starts on the 10th of Spring at Alun-Alun Square. This special area is at the east of the lake and above the town. To begin the event, you must go to Alun-Alun Square between 9:00 and 14:00, where you will see the decorated marquee next to Judge Ross and Rafael.
The game will ask you if you want to start the festival, accept to see the cinematic, and then you could interact with the other characters. In this festival, the main attractions are Balap Karung, a race, and the Hotpot Donation, the main event.
Balap Karung
Near the entrance of the Alun-Alun Square and the Lake, there will be the Registration sign to play this mini-game. This mini-game is a sack race, which works with a bar with a green spot in the middle. Aiming for the green area to advance faster would be best. If you miss, you will fall and lose time and trip if you waste all your stamina. It is best to go as fast as possible in the first phase; try to save stamina and avoid falling in the second phase. Also, the indicator will go faster with each hit. This race will have different rewards:
- 1st Place 1000 Coin + 5 candied tree seeds
- 2nd Place 500 Coin + 5 candied tree seeds
- 3rd Place 250 Coin + 5 candied tree seeds
- 4th Place 50 Coin + 3 candied tree seeds
Hotpot Donation
The Hotpot is the main event of the Spring Festival, where all the townfolk of Coral Island will contribute to making a soup. The player may or may not donate an ingredient to the Hotpot. By selecting “Start Main Event,” the game will start another cutscene of the Major asking Judge Ross to give his verdict on the soup. Try to look for Silver, Gold, or Osmium-quality ingredients because, depending on your donation, these will be ratings for the Hotpot:
- Love
Judge Ross: Wow… This soup tastes AMAZING! All of you have made a masterpiece! Great job, Starlet Town! - Like
Judge Ross: Mmm… delicious! This soup certainly tastes good… The local products are great, and they complement each other. Well done! - Neutral
Judge Ross: It’s… okay. I taste nothing special with this soup. Well, as long as it’s edible, everyone can consider it a success. - Dislike
Judge Ross: … Yuck! This soup is… Weird…Yuck! This soup tastes… weird. One spoon is enough for me! How disappointing. One spoon is enough for me! - Hate
Judge Ross: Yuck! I can’t believe I just ate that thing… My stomach hurts…
During the Coral Island Spring Festival, the game will stop time, and you can play the race as many times as you want. But once you activate the Hotpot event, the activity will end, and you will appear at your farm at night. You can start the festival around noon if you want to use your day to work. Or if you’re going to spend only some time at the Coral Island Cherry Blossom Festival, you can leave the event area. But Connor will ask you if you are sure you want to leave. Then, you can return to your activities as the island’s new farmer
