For this writer, Shaun of the Dead is one of the greatest movies ever made, and if you’ve not seen it stop what you’re doing, share this article and watch it.
The Zom-Rom-Com is absolutely hilarious and a pretty good marker of what we Brits would do in the event of a Zombie apocalypse.
Unfortunately, in a pandemic, we don’t seem to cope as well if the recent Coronavirus outbreak is anything to go by. We’ve been stockpiling food and toilet roll (for some reason) and refuse to give up our pubs even if the fate of the world depended on us not going.
In these times of worry, it’s imperative that we all do our bit as we wait for this to all blow over. Thankfully, for those unsure of what to do, the Shaun of the Dead boys Nick Frost and Simon Pegg have us covered.
In a brilliant new video, the two have lampooned a famous scene from the movie to advise the best course of action. Take a look at it for yourselves:
So there we have it, avoid going to the house of your friend’s girlfriend, don’t kill the elderly and definitely don’t go to the pub, even if it is shut. The best solution is to have a cup of tea and wait for this to all blow over.
I know it’s stereotypical for us Brits to like tea, but I promise the American readers that you’d like it if you knew how to make it properly.
The most important message in the video, of course, is to stay safe and make sure you look after people, especially if they are vulnerable or getting cabin fever from being in self-isolation.
Let us know in the comments what films and games you’re all binging at the moment as you’re all stuck inside.
Go make yourself a cup of tea and don’t hoard toilet paper.
Stay safe.
