Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test has revealed some exciting news for game fans, as data miners have discovered two new knives that could be added to the game. Knives are highly coveted items in CS:GO as they cannot be dropped or picked up by other players, making them unique to the player who owns them. However, they are also rare, and players usually have to rely on luck or spend a significant amount of money on the Steam marketplace to obtain them.
Counter-Strike 2 Knives: Kukri and Twinblade
Valve has not released any new knives since 2019, and discovering two new knife models in the game files is even more thrilling for fans. The first knife, Kukri, is a large curved blade that originated in Nepal and is popular in South Asia. It is similar in size to the bowie knife and the machete, which are already present in the game.
The second knife, called the Twinblade, has two distinct blades connected at the hilt, giving it a two-pronged tip that appears capable of causing significant damage. Although it does not have an obvious real-life counterpart, past CS:GO knives have always drawn inspiration from actual knives.
It is currently unknown when the new knives will be added to the game, but there is hope they will be introduced during a new operation, which has not been released since 2021. With the full release of CS:GO sequel scheduled for summer 2023, a new operation could be the perfect time to add these new knives, as was the case with the Shattered Web operation in 2019.
