Last month, we talked about the impending release of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time on the next-gen consoles. Now, that day has finally arrived. The game has finally reached PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. In celebration of Crash Bandicoot‘s 25th anniversary, Activision Blizzard has decided to focus-in on everyone’s favorite marsupial.

In the spirit of the party, Activision Blizzard announced that players who complete the second level of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will receive a complimentary Bare Bones skin. This costume is available for both Coco and Crash and appears to show them in a sort of x-rayed state, detailing their skeletons in a playful manner. Of course, with this year being Crash’s anniversary, players can expect that the surprises will keep rolling out over the coming months. This is likely just the first of many new skins to be unveiled.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players will be in for a treat as they will get to see Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time with a stunning set of updates in-line with the next-gen capabilities. Not only will players get to experience the game in 4K HD with 60 FPS, but Crash Bandicoot 4 will take full advantage of the next-gen audio and superb sound quality as well.  As the icing on the cake, Activision Blizzard made sure that the game will take full advantage of the PlayStation 5’s adaptive trigger system for increased responsiveness, as well as the Activity Card to help track players’ progress through the game. Let’s not forget that the game is also dropping on Nintendo Switch which will allow players another venue to play Crash Bandicoot on the go.

While it was rumored earlier in the year, we also finally have confirmation of an upcoming PC port which will be available on March 26 via Battle.net.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be priced at $59.99 for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and at $39.99 on both Nintendo Switch and PC. Players who have already purchased the game on current-gen consoles will be eligible to receive the next-gen version free-of-charge.

What do you think of the release? Are you excited to celebrate Crash’s 25th year? Check out our review on the game, and make sure to comment below with your thoughts.
