An Ohio man named John was forced to deal with what may be the most annoying Dollar General employee of all time during a recent shopping trip. The details behind what started the encounter are a bit fuzzy. However, the man claims that the employee, whose name is Tara, got angry when she saw the man on the bus, and he refused to sign a petition she had. After that, she followed the man all through the store while he was trying to shop for laundry detergent, and she refused to let up.
The video, posted by TikTok user @jdquarlesiv opens with the man standing in the Dollar General store. He pans over to reveal that Tara is standing right behind him. “You see this?” he says to the camera. “HI, my name is Tara. I work at Dollar General. Hello. How you all doing?” the woman says as she waves into the phone.
“This lady cussed me out on the bus because I wouldn’t sign her petition. I’m trying to find some laundry soap and she’s following me around,” John says into the camera. All the while, Tara can be heard yelling from behind him. “Followed through Dollar General by this crazy employee Tara,” the caption of the video reads.
Tara continues to talk at a high volume, telling John where the laundry soap is located. Meanwhile, he continues to walk around the store trying to get Tara to stop following him. However, she doesn’t give in.
Ohio Man Harassed By Dollar Tree Employee
At one point, another customer needs help and she yells for her co-worker, Daniel, to help the woman so that she can continue to follow John closely. John then turns to Daniel and asks him for help getting Tara to stop following him.
When John says that he’s going to put the video on social media, Tara chimes in again. “Put it on social media! Hi, my name is Tara. Put me on social media,” she says before asking John, “Why are you worried about me following you around?”
John also adds that he’s “about to call the police,” and Daniel can be heard off camera telling his co-worker to stop the behavior. “Tara, back off,” he can be heard saying multiple times. However, Tara didn’t back off. Instead, John lost his cool and began yelling loudly for the employee to leave him alone. Finally, he left the store after sharing his anger with Daniel.
“Even her co-worker is telling her to stop,” one person said in the comments. “Something is truly off about her. She was actually harassing him,” another said. “She is getting on my nerves,” a third person wrote.
In a follow-up video, John revealed that he eventually called the corporate office and was waiting to hear back from them. In addition, he says that the Ohio store employees are claiming that he shoplifts from the store, but he claims that isn’t true. Instead, he’s looking for some justice for being harassed by Tara and for the store making allegedly false claims against him.
