Critical Role’s ongoing series focused on the origins of The Mighty Nein is ending in 2024. The series, based on the group from the show’s second campaign, bows out with the origins of the final two characters. This includes the human monk Beauregard Lionett and the firbolg cleric Caduceus Clay. The Beauregard story releases in spring of 2024, with Caduceus’ following in the summer.
Mighty Nein Origins
The Critical Role: Mighty Nein Origins series kicked off in 2021. The first in the series focused on the backstory of Laura Bailey’s tiefling cleric Jester Lavorre. This was quickly followed by the tragic past of human wizard Caleb Widogast (Liam O’Brian). Over the next two years, fans were treated to a look into the history of most of the characters, including aasimar barbarian Yasha Nydoorin (Ashley Johnson), half-orc warlock Fjord Stone (Travis Willingham), and goblin rogue Nott the Brave (Sam Riegel).
Earlier this year, the most recent issue focused on tiefling bloodhunter Mollymauk Tealeaf (Taliesin Jaffe). And, coming later this year, Dark Horse is collecting the stories of Jester, Caleb, Yasha, and Nott into the first of two Library Editions.
