As many were already expecting, Democrats have regained control of the House following a sweeping victory across the country. While plenty of Americans are celebrating, with recent GOP controversies having left a sour taste in many people’s mouths, not everyone is happy with the result. One such person is a famous streamer from Texas who was closely following the election results. After seeing Democrats secure victories across numerous states, including some that backed Trump just a couple of years ago, he ended up crashing out during his livestream.
The Texas streamer we’re talking about is Asmongold, who, in the past, did a lot of World of Warcraft content, but recently shifted to more political topics. While he is allegedly politically moderate, claiming he doesn’t align with either party, yesterday’s results made it seem otherwise.
In the above clip, where he was reacting to the elections, he begins by saying, “This is a bad day,” in what many believe is a reference to Democrats winning. Then, he continues to say that he is going to take a break, before stopping and admitting he is “incredibly frustrated.”
After that, he claims that Trump should’ve gone harder, and that the current president wasted his time selling trinkets. He continues talking about the things Trump has done, clearly showing his frustration at the results.
While he took a couple of shots at the President, the Texas streamer then said he was happy about some things Trump did, such as renaming the Strait of Hormuz to the Trump Strait.
Naturally, all the above statements and reactions ended up firing back at the streamer, as many shared many comments all over social media about his alleged “politically moderate” stance, as well as claiming one of Trump’s biggest achievements was the whole renaming debacle of the Strait.
Texas Redditors Fire Back at the Streamer’s Statements
With all the things Asmongold said in that clip, it didn’t take long for Redditors to fire back at him, criticizing him for his stance and comments.
“‘Non-political’ people when the right loses.”
“If Asmongold is frustrated with politics, that means it’s a good day for the world.“
“Cry more.”
For now, it seems many Americans are celebrating several states turning blue, especially Texas. It’s certainly a historic result, although perhaps not an entirely unexpected one, given the growing frustration with the Trump administration and its actions across the country.
