When Destroy All Humans! was first released in 2005, Crypto-137 made his debut on PS2 and Xbox. That same year, games like Kingdom Hearts II, Mario Party 7, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 released. All of the titles had some merit, but there’s was something unique about the alien-themed title. The humor present in the game was something the others did not have.

Crypto-137 Origins

Crypto-137

Unbeknownst to humans of the 1950s, there were little grey creatures living on Mars. With their planet being a desolate wasteland, their race hopes to occupy the human race’s planet. Because cows are the first beings they meet on Earth, the Furons assume them to be the dominant species. After seeing that it is the humans occupy most places, the DNA harvesting commences. Through mind-reading and a variety of weapons, Crypto-137 enacts the Furon plan to exterminate the human race with humorous results.
