The trailer and more information relating to Crysis Remastered (including the game’s achievement list) have leaked early via the Microsoft Store. The reveal was set to be shown in a YouTube gameplay premiere.
First released in 2007, Crysis continues to highlight as a technical powerhouse. Even on fairly modern machines, the game is a beast to run properly. Akin to open-world action games like Far Cry, the game is set on a remote island where you must fight against an onslaught of enemies.
Crysis Remastered Brings the Classic Game to New Consoles
There is a range of enemies to take on from the trailer. At first, you will fight your standard grunt soldier, but there are also massive walking aliens as well.
What makes Crysis stand out is your character’s Nanosuit, which gives you special abilities to take on fights. For example, one ability allows your character to become invisible, while another allows you to take increased damage.
Along with the gameplay options, Crysis is known for its sandbox exploration and realistic physics. Even for today’s standards, the game is still impressive.
Remastered Version Includes 4K and HDR on Xbox
For those worried about how the game will perform, it seems that the game will come with 4K visuals and HDR support. Going off of the store page, the game will come in at 7.01 GB on Xbox One.
As stated before, Crysis Remastered was set to have a big reveal via YouTube but the game was leaked early thanks to a Microsoft Store page. This has been a running theme for Microsoft, with them leaking Star Wars: Squadrons the same way. At the time of this writing, the store page has been taken down.
Those hoping to revisit or play Crysis for the first time won’t have to wait long. According to the leak, Crysis Remastered is releasing on July 23rd, 2020.
