Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed to November 19th. The game was previously set to release on September 17th.
Developer CD Projekt Red announced this via a statement on Twitter:
“At the time we are writing these words, Cyberpunk 2077 is finished both content and gameplay-wise. The quests, cutscenes, the skills and items; all the adventures Night City has to offer – it’s all there. But with such an abundance of content and complex systems interweaving with each other, we need to properly go through everything, balance game mechanics and fix a lot of bugs. A huge world means a huge number of things to iron out and we will spend the additional time doing exactly that.”

Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire Event Coming On June 25th
Although it sucks to see Cyberpunk 2077 hit its second big delay, CD Projekt Red did confirm that there will be some kind of digital event for the game on June 25th. The Night City Wire event was originally planned to happen on June 11th but it was postponed due to the Black Lives Matter protests happening around the world. We aren’t sure what to expect from the Night City Wire event. That being said, we will finally get to see impressions of Cyberpunk 2077 from journalists who (luckily) got their hands on the highly-anticipated game after the presentation ends.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release on November 19th, 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC with next-gen versions of the game coming at a later date. If you purchase the game via Xbox One, you will have the ability to upgrade to the Xbox Series X version for free apart of the platform’s Smart Delivery feature.
