Cyberpunk 2077 is a beautiful, massive open world with plenty of sites to see and things to discover. From the towering high rises to the bustling streets of the city’s underbelly, there’s so much to discover in the game’s various locations. As it’s an open-world RPG, that also means it’s bound to be filled with easter eggs and secrets to discover. One particular easter egg is a rather funny one that comes along with its own quest, that being Skippy the Gun. If you want to find this in your own game, I have just the thing for you. In this guide, I explain exactly how to get the Skippy gun in Cyberpunk 2077 along with how to complete its quest.
How to Get Skippy and Finish His Quest in Cyberpunk 2077
If you’re unaware, Skippy is located in the Vista Del Rey section of Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City. More specifically, you can find him in an alleyway where a sidequest is located. If you’re having trouble, use the image above for reference. At that spot, you’ll find a dead body with the Skippy weapon on them. After picking Skippy up and holding him, to your surprise, he’ll start talking with you. This is mainly describing his functions, along with a few jokes because what’s a talking gun without jokes? After talking for a bit, he’ll ask you to pick between the Stone-Cold Killer and Puppy-Loving Pacificist modes. Stone-Cold Killer will make Skippy only target the head (it’s a smart gun) while Puppy-Loving Pacifist will target just the limbs. After killing 50 enemies, he’ll switch to the other mode.
As you may have guessed, this is pretty annoying if you don’t already realize it. You may want to get rid of him, which is where his side job in Cyberpunk 2077 comes into play. A few days after he switches modes, Skippy will chat with you again and mention it was owned by Regina Jones. If you don’t know who that is, Regina’s the fixer that sends you on missions to kill Cyberpsychos. If you’d like to complete the quest and make him shut up, head to the marked location in Kabuki and return him. Not only will you get rid of this annoying weapon, but you’ll even get a cash bonus. That’s a win-win if you ask me.
