During its latest broadcast this September 14, its developers talked about the changes that the expansion will bring, such as music, gameplay, and the launch date for the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update. Not only that, but the company also unveiled the cinematic trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty with the special appearance of a very well-known and acclaimed Hollywood actor.
Idris Elba Appears During Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Cinematic Trailer
If you’re unfamiliar with Idris Elba’s work, he plays Heimdall in the Thor movies, Brixton in Hobbs & Shaw, and Charles Miner in The Office. Elba even lent his voice to Knuckles the Echidna in the Sonic 2 movie. Still, as for the video game industry, he has been involved in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as SFC “Truck” and now in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. In the game’s cinematic trailer, Idris Elba appears to give life to Solomon Reed 7 years before the events of this new expansion and shows how the DLC will likely begin.

The game’s cinematic trailer shows events between Idris Elba and Christine Minji Chang’s characters before the events of Phantom Liberty. Christine has participated in Three Dates to Forever as Jenny and Cassy in Lisa Mania. But this time, Minji appears in the cinematic trailer of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, giving life to Song So Mi, better known by her pseudonym Songbird. By now, fans are already anxiously waiting for this update. Also, during the same Night City Wire, the devs revealed that Phantom Liberty will be available on September 26 for all players who own Cyberpunk 2077 on consoles and PCs. The 2.0 update will be free for those who own the game and will launch on September 21.
