During Rooster Teeth’s panel at Anime Expo 2018, Gray G. Haddock, head of Rooster Teeth Animation, announced some exciting news concerning the internet mogul’s animation department. Dakota Fanning (The Alienist, The Twilight Saga) and well-known anime voice actor Kōichi Yamadera, known for his work on Cowboy BeBop and Ghost in the Shell, will be starring in their newest anime, gen:LOCK.
Fanning will lend her voice to the character of expert pilot Miranda Worth, and Yamadera will voice Kazu Iida, a gL recruit from Japan. As announced earlier this year, the two will be joined by Micheal B. Jordan (Black Panther) as one of the main characters Julian Chase. gen:LOCK is the story of Earth’s fight for survival as they desperately seek recruits to man “mecha,” giant, weaponized robots.
Haddock commented in a blog post that there is still more to come:
