From Schitt’s Creek fame, Dan Levy is heading for his directorial debut with Good Grief on Netflix with his cast. It will also star Himesh Patel (Yesterday), Luke Evans (Nine Perfect Strangers), Celia Imrie (Better Things), Arnaud Valois (Spring Blossom), David Bradley (Game of Thrones), Jamael Westman (The Essex Serpent).
The Dan Levy directorial debut will follow Marc Dreyfus, a man who lost his mom and is finding ways to avoid that grief. When getting married, he is faced with death again as his husband dies suddenly. Now, he must face that grief he tried avoiding as he goes with two friends for a weekend of self-discovery. The director called it a “cautionary tale” that will be “about friendship and loss.” He calls the film “funny” and “bittersweet.” For him personally, it helped him with his “own grief.”

It starred the Levy father and son, Catherine O’Hara, Annie Murphy, Chris Elliot, Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Robertson, and Sarah Levy.
