The developer’s Behaviour Interactive who are behind the critically proclaimed coop horror game Dead by Daylight has just announced on March 10th the game is getting a new Western-themed expansion called Chains of Hate. This new update will vastly expand the game with a new map, a monster, and a survivor.

Chains of Hate’s New Monster

At first glance at this announcement, it would appear that chains will be a common theme with this expansion because it will add a new monster called The Deadslinger. Deadslinger is an engineer that wilds powerful hexes and wields a harpoon gun with razor spear projectiles with you guess it a chain attached to them. You can also find out more about Deadslinger’s lore here at the official website for the game.

 New Map and Survivor

New monsters are not the only thing being added with Chains of Hate, in addition to Deadslinger, players will also have a new survivor by the name of Zarina Kassir. Zarina is a filmmaker who will bring all sorts of new abilities to help her team avoid the killer, and you can also find out more about Zarina’s lore here.

For example, Zarina can heal her teammates while she has full health from dying to injured, or from injured to healthy. Also, based on the wording in the press release “Zarina Kassir, a daring filmmaker with a knack for staying quiet and manipulating sound,” Zarina will have some sort of stealth and sound manipulating abilities to shake things up for the killer.

The Final addition Chains of Hate will bring a new western-themed playable map called Dead Dawg Saloon that is described as an early frontier settlement that was plagued by constant gang warfare that resulted in a blood bath. Also, with this announcement, the devs released a chilling trailer be sure to check that out! And watch out for chain spears on March 10th!
