If you like fighting zombies, the gaming industry has you well catered for, with any number of games like Resident Evil that allow you to take on the shuffling undead. And now one of the most distinctive zombie based series, Dead Island, is having all of its content wrapped up in one neat bundle.

Dead Island
Are they zombies, or are they just hurrying to pre-order it? I’m confused…

The original Dead Island was a first-person game set in a tropical resort that had a sudden outbreak of mobile corpses. Selecting one of the several playable characters (with their own strengths and weaknesses) you had to fight your way to survival with improvised weapons (tropical resorts are not being known for their supplies of heavy weapons). There was a strong focus on the four player co-op option as well.

Dead Island: Definitive Edition includes the original game, the sequel (Riptide) as well Retro Revenge, a 16-bit retro side scroller spin-off game. Also included will be all previously released DLC. According to Eurogamer, it will be releasing for PS4, XBOX ONE and PC on the 31st of May and;

“Each game runs at 1080p and 30 frames per second, with improved textures, better models, a new lighting system and a consistent user interface across the main two games.”
