Dead Space is known for its intense and frightening gameplay. Players are tasked with navigating the dark and dangerous world of the USG Ishimura while battling against the Necromorphs. The Crew Rigs play an essential role in the You Are Not Authorised side quest. To complete this quest, players must find the senior members of the crew and collect their rigs, unlocking the Master Override and gaining access to valuable upgrades. However, seeing all the rigs can be challenging, and players must navigate the different decks of the USG Ishimura in the correct order to obtain them all. We’ll explain all Master Override Crew Rigs locations for Dead Space Remake.
Dead Space Remake Master Override Crew Rigs Locations
Voelker’s Rig
You can obtain this rig during the objective to Reach the Engineering Deck. As players make their way through the hanger in zero-G and a force field, they should keep to the right-hand side of the area. Eventually, they will come across a purple light near an O2 supply, which marks the location of Voelker’s Rig.
White’s Rig
Players can obtain White’s Rig during Chapter 4. After players reroute power to the ADS cannons as instructed by Hammond, they must head outside to calibrate them by shooting asteroids. Once this task is complete, players should run to the far end of the trench beyond the third cannon and look on the left to find a body and White’s Rig.
Holt’s Rig
Holt’s Rig can be found while clearing toxic gas by injecting various Wheezers. After killing Wheezer 4, players will find themselves in a room with a door blocked by a tentacle. They can clear the obstruction by shooting the glowing nodule and entering the room. Players will then find themselves in an upper gantry area with more tentacles on the left. After clearing these obstacles, they will discover Holt’s Rig underneath. At this point in the game, players must also find the Dead Space Deck Systems keycard.
Dallas’ Rig
You can find it during the mission to Find the Admin Rig. This rig is located in a small room off the side of the mining processing area, where players must remove anomalies by grabbing and throwing glowing rocks into an energy beam. By doing this, players will also upgrade their Dead Space security clearance to level 3, a key part of the story that must be noticed.
Rousseau’s Rig
To obtain Rousseau’s Rig in Dead Space, players must first collect Dallas’ Rig, which will grant them Security Clearance level three. This clearance level is required to access Rousseau’s Rig. After obtaining the required clearance, players should head to the Engineering Deck Control Room and take the circular hatch towards the Engine Room. They should then pass through the fan room and the loud room and enter the room where they obtained the flamethrower. From there, they should follow the corridor to the main space and look for a Security Clearance level three-door on the right. Behind this door, you will find Rousseau’s Rig.
Bailey’s Rig
Bailey’s Rig can be obtained in Chapter 8 when Daniels assigns you to repair the Comms Array on the Bridge Deck. After reaching the Comms Control Room with the big window that overlooks the array, enter Bailey’s Office through the door on the left, and you’ll find a body at a desk with Comms Officer Bailey’s Rig beside it.
Benson’s Rig
Finally, Benson’s Rig is obtained after leaving the Valor shuttle. You will receive a message indicating that a door near the bridge atrium has been opened, allowing access to a previously unreachable area. On the tram track, you’ll find Benson’s body and rig on the floor. Prepare for a couple of Necromorph attacks. After this, you’ll encounter the mysterious Z-Ball arena.
How to Craft Master Override
To craft the Master Override, you must collect all the Crew Rigs. After doing so, go back to the Captain’s Nest, where you first met Hammond and activated the mission. The console will then give you the option to craft the Master Override, which will allow you to open doors with the Master Override symbol on the Ishimura.
