[Updated on April 20 – Added new locations and revised explanation on how the eggs are used.]
Strength in numbers is the best option to find an intact Deathclaw Egg in Fallout 76, and the best location for even early players is the Abandoned Waste Dump. This location is reachable for any player, despite the warnings against going there without a hazmat suit. Inside, you’ll typically find 2-3 Deathclaw enemies and a 1/3 chance of a preserved Deathclaw Egg.
This is not the only isolated case for these failed Enclave experiments. They’re spread across the wasteland of Appalachia. Additionally, you can find Deathclaw Eggs in the following locations:
Location | Quantity | Map Marker |
---|---|---|
Abandoned Waste Dump | 1-4 | 1 |
Tunnel of Love (event) | 1-3 | 2 |
Hopewell Cave | 1-3 | 3 |
Deathclaw Island | 1-2 | 4 |
Arktos Pharma | 1 | 5 |
Enclave Research Facility | 1 | 6 |

How To Use Deathclaw Eggs in Fallout 76
These eggs are a basic ingredient that restores 10% of your hunger meter. They can be nourishing in several recipes, including the Deathclaw Egg Omelette and Deathclaw Egg Wellington. You can collect up to three of these at a Deathclaw Nest, so don’t discard them just because they’re broken. Even if it’s upsetting to see the innards leaking out. You’re a Vault-dweller; you can stomach those sights.
