Deep Rock Galactic has today launched its January 17 update over on PlayStation platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. As this is an update exclusive to PlayStation platforms, it should be expected that this isn’t housing any content and is more a bug-fix update for users on that platform. For you PlayStation users though, this is a super quick update. Deep Rock Galactic only came to PlayStation through the PlayStation Plus service earlier in January, so the team is making it clear that they’re being fast about fixes. Hopefully, the next update released though is at least across all platforms. Without further adieu, here’s everything new with Deep Rock Galactic in its January 17 update!
Deep Rock Galactic January 17 Update Patch Notes
It’s important to note that these patch notes are located in a Twitter thread, rather than on the official Deep Rock Galactic website like usual. Either way, here’s the few things that changed:
- Fixed an issue where others could not connect to the session you were hosting, including friend invites.
- Fixed a bug where changing ‘Horizontal Mapping’ could lead to horizontal motion control not working.
- Fixed a bug where changing ‘Light Mode’ could lead to the lights not working.
- Full servers will now return an “All seats taken” error when trying to join a server that filled up between serverlist updates.
As to be expected, there isn’t a whole lot of crazy fixes to talk about here. The few that are here though are nice for PlayStation users. For example, horizontal motion control straight up not working is a disastrous occasion, so having that fixed should help those who wish to change Horizontal Mapping. Same with the Light Mode not letting lights work. All around, a good if unspectacular update.
Deep Rock Galactic is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One. For more information regarding this update, check out the official Twitter page.
